One household's holdings, worked three ways in one sitting

Paste the lots, the target mix and the last few weeks of trades. Your browser measures the drift, builds the whole-share rebalancing trades lot by lot, finds every tax-loss harvest candidate with its wash-sale window, and exports the CSVs — free, before any account. The metered pass adds the judgement: the rebalance call, the harvest order, and the client review.

Both households ship with a saved model run for every lane, so you can see the whole desk — trades, harvest lots, talking points — without signing in and without spending a credit.

Information, not advice. Rebalance Desk works out the arithmetic and the tax consequences of the holdings, targets, bands and rates you enter. It is not personalised investment, tax or legal advice, it does not know your full financial situation, and it never places a trade. Check anything you act on with a qualified adviser or tax professional.

What this does, and what it does not

The free pass is real arithmetic over your own table, not a keyword scan. It reads lots across accounts, prices each one, works out the household mix against your targets with both an absolute and a relative band, and then builds the trades the way a desk would: sells go to tax-advantaged accounts first, then to taxable lots in order of tax cost per dollar — losses, long-term gains, short-term gains — in whole shares, with each account's cash tracked so no purchase is funded from an account that has none. The harvest scan looks only at taxable lots, applies your minimum, computes the 61-day wash-sale window for each and checks purchases in every account against it — including IRAs, where a wash sale destroys the loss rather than deferring it — and tells you the day a short-term lot turns long-term.

The model never does arithmetic. It receives the engine's figures and a list of flagged facts with stable ids, and it must answer every one of them; the page then traces every number in its prose back to your data and marks the ones that do not trace. It may not name a security you did not paste. It documents the consequences of your targets, bands and rates; it does not recommend changing them, does not predict markets, and does not know your state tax, carryforwards or the rest of this year's gains — those come back as questions. Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing here places a trade.
